Are there other faiths? Is there truth in other religions?

June 1, 2008

I found this quote from Richard Abanes interesting

“”Interestingly, nearly all the faiths now experiencing rapid growth throughout the world promote a common doctrine: at some point in the near future, our world will be destroyed,” Abanes says.”

It is from Richards book “End Time Visions:The Road to Armageddon”

Here is where I found this quote

Rick Warren states that their are truths in other religions here is the quote

Rick Warren has stated that we can find truth in other religions; he has. ‘There’s truth in every religion … Christians believe there’s truth in every religion. But we just believe there is one savior. We believe we can learn truth from, I believe I have learned a lot of truth from different religions. Because they all have a portion of the truth. I just believe there’s one savior Jesus Christ’ (Nov.22, 2004 Larry King live) from Spiritual Fusion: East comes West, Mike Oppenheimer, Let Us Reason Ministries

John 14:6 ”

Does scripture teach that there are many faiths?

No, it does not here is what the Bible says.

Eph 4:5 ” one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

Scripture does not recognize or affirm that their are any other faiths.

Is there truth outside of Christianity?

No here is what the Bible teaches.

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

This is the narrow way. There is no other faith’s or truth outside of Jesus Christ.
